Fancy Friday: Dry Brush

Hello ladies!

Today I have some Fancy Friday nail art to show you guys!
This time the challenge is Dry Brush.

The dry brush technique is basically a technique where you wipe almost all the nail polish off the brush and then you use the almost-dry brush to apply uneven swipes of polish. If you want to try it out you can follow this tutorial by Sarah at Chalkboard Nails (who also invented the technique).

I decided to go in a bit of a different direction and make a dry brush french manicure instead!
I was inspired by this manicure by Kelli at The Nail Polish Challenge.

For the manicure I started off with the dark navy blue base of Essie Style Cartel on all my nails. Afterwards I followed this tutorial (also by Kelli) using the metallic blue nail polish Essie Blue Rhapsody.

This french dry brush technique is perfect for fixing tip wear and I really like the result.
What do you girls think about this dry brush manicure? Let me know in the comments!

Stay polished.
- Louise
