Another Thermal

Hi girls!

Today I have a swatch and review of the thermal nail polish Born Pretty #18931 in the color 100 to show you guys!
100 is a medium orange when it is hot and a lemon yellow when it is cold.

The formula was great. It was easy to work with and applied smoothly to the nail. The opacity was okay and it was opaque in three thin coats.
The color shift is amazing and on the picture below you can see both its hot and cold state.

This nail polish is from Born Pretty Store and it costs $3.55 for 6 ml.

Gothic

Hello ladies!

Today I have some gothic nail art to share with you guys!

For the manicure I started off with a black base of Essie Licorice on all my nails. Afterwards I stamped the (perfectly imperfect) crosses on my pinky and ring finger with MoYou London Hipster 08 and the silver Essie No Place Like Chrome. I finished off with some spiky studs on my middle finger.

The studs I used for this manicure is from Born Pretty Store (#10438 in the color Silver).
I like these studs because they are easy to use, look awesome on the nails, and because they are so cheap (they are only $4.33 for 100 studs)!
If you guys want to buy something in Born Pretty Store, remember to use my coupon code SXKQ10 for 10% off your entire order and free international shipping.

I think this manicure is so cool! And I love how the stamping is a little broken!

For the manicure I started off with the blue scattered holographic piCture pOlish Forget Me Not on my ring finger and pinky and a yellow base of piCture pOlish Sorbet on my middle finger, pointer, and thumb. While the nail polish was still wet on my middle finger I used Forget Me Not to make the blobbicure.

The blobbicure technique is so fun and easy to do!

Fancy Friday: Chocolate

Hi girls!

Today it is time for this week's Fancy Friday manicure!
The challenge is chocolate and I made a skittlette featuring a chocolate-inspired water marble!

For the manicure I started off with a chocolate brown base of OPI Going My Way or Nor-Way? on my pointer and middle finger, a dark brown base of Essie Partner in Crime on my thumb and pinky, and a white base on my ring finger. Then I made the chocolate-inspired water marble on my ring finger using Essie Partner in Crime, Essie Urban Jungle, and OPI Going My Way or Nor-Way?. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

I think the water marble looks like delicious chocolate!

Appeal4 Magical Sea-Lion

Magical Sea-Lion is a deep blue shimmer.

The formula was good - a little on the thin side, but still easy to work with. The opacity was great and it was opaque in two coats. It does not stain upon removal which is a huge plus for me!

piCture pOlish Allure

Hello ladies!

Today I have a swatch and review of piCture pOlish Allure to show you guys!
Allure is a magenta nail polish with a scattered holographic finish.

The formula was amazing and it was applied like a dream to the nails. The opacity was great as well being opaque in two thin coats. It dried to a satin finish so you will need a top coat if you wan a shiny finish.

Fancy Friday: Light and Darkness

Hey guys!

Today it is time for another Fancy Friday manicure!
The challenge this week is light and darkness and I made a yin-yang skittlette!

For the manicure I started off with a white base of piCture pOlish Bright White on my middle finger, pointer, and thumb, and a black base of Essie Licorice on my ring finger and pinky. Afterwards I freehanded the yin-yang symbol on my middle finger with a small nail art brush, a big dotting tool, and black and white acrylic paint. To finish off the skittlette I applied the holographic glitter China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

I love the yin-yang philosophy and how it translates to my nails.

Appeal4

Hi girls!

A few days ago I bought some amazing Appeal4 polishes, so today I have some swatches to share with you guys!

First up is Soft Wave, which is a mint green creme.
The formula was great and it was easy to apply. The opacity was (surprisingly) amazing and it was opaque in two thicker coats!
This color is so delicate and pretty!

Next up is Bay of Cadiz - a light lemon yellow creme.
The formula on this one was good - a little runny, but not so much it was floating my cuticles. It was opaque in three coats.
I love this yellow - I have nothing like it in my collection!

Lastly I have Nightingale's Heart, which is a neon red creme.
The formula was great. It was a little thin for my liking, but it was easy to apply and self-leveled amazingly. The opacity was good as well and it was opaque in two to three coats (I applied two coats on my pointer, but three on my middle finger and pinky).
This shade of red is my absolute favorite!

I know these colors are really bright and summer-y, but I am not quite ready for fall yet!

Stamping

Hello ladies!

Today I have some awesome nail art to share with you guys - a highlighter inspired skittlette!

For the manicure I started off with a white base of piCture pOlish Bright White on all my nails. Afterwards I stamped the text on my middle and ring finger with my new stamper (below), Mundo de Uñas Black, and MoYou London CookBook Plate 06. Then I highlighted some of the words with the sheer OPI Primarily Yellow and OPI Pen & Pink. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

The stamper I used for this nail art is from Born Pretty Store (#21123 in the color silver).
This stamper is beautiful, really squishy, and easy to use! I already ordered some more stamper heads so I can make lots of stamping decals!

Indie Nail the Mail Box

Hey guys!

Today it is time for the Indie Nail the Mail Box from september!
Nail the Mail is a new Danish nail polish shop that ships to most of Europe. They made these monthly nail polish subscription boxes - a Indie Box and a Mixed Box. The indie box will contain two polishes - one handmade indie nail polish made just for the box, one indie nail polish from one of the bigger indie makers and a little something extra for nail care or nail art.
You guys can read more about the boxes here.

The september box contains Appeal4 no. 143 Lucky Robin, Paws by Eddie Da Firenze, and a little something extra: a glass nail file.

First up is Paws by Eddie Da Firenze, which is a purple scattered holo with a fantastic sweet lemon candy scent!
The formula was amazing - not to thick and not to thin. The opacity was great as well and it was opaque in two thin coats. It dries (in no time) to a satin finish, so if you want a shiny finish you will need a top coat.
I am seriosly in love with this polish! It is perfect!

The second polish of the box is Appeal4 Lucky Robin - a brick red creme.
The formula was good and it was easy to apply. It was opaque in two layers, so the opacity was good as well!
This color will be great for fall!

The little something extra is this cute pink gradient glass file! You can never have to many files (I have one in each of my purses in case I break a nail on the go) and glass files are definitely the best!

This month box was amazing and I cannot wait for next month!

Fancy Friday: Minions

Hey guys!

Today it is time for this month's first Fancy Friday and the challenge this week is minions!

For the manicure I started of with a yellow base of OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana on all my nails. Afterwards I used a small nail art brush, the silver nail polish Essie No Place Like Chrome, black acrylic paint, blue acrylic paint, and white acrylic paint to freehand the details.

I am honestly getting a little tired of minions, but I still like how this manicure turned out!

Thermal

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of the thermal nail polish Born Pretty #18931 in the color 101 to share with you guys!
101 is chartreuse green when it is in its warm state and medium green when it is cold.

The formula was great - not to thick and not to thin, and really easy to apply. The opacity was good and it was opaque in two thin coats. The thermal effect was amazing as well and it shifts easily between the two colors! On the picture it makes a gradient effect as it is warm near the cuticles but cold at the end of the nails.

This nail polish is from Born Pretty Store and it costs $5.07 for 6 ml.
If you guys plan on buying something in Born Pretty Store, remember to use my coupon code SXKQ10 for 10% off your entire order and free international shipping! Check out their nail art items here.
