CND Nightspell Collection

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of the new CND Vinylux Nightspell collection to share with you!
This collection is SPONSORED by Insight Cosmetics Group, but everything I write about it is my own and honest opinion.

These polishes are all swatched on my bare nails and topped with a coat of CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat.

First up I have Eternal Midnight, which is a deep purple with an aqua blue shimmer.
The formula on this one is okay - it is a little on the thin side and it does need three coats to be completely opaque.

Close up!

Next is Berry Boudoir - a deep berry crelly polish.
This formula is on the thin and runny side, which means it also needs three layers to achieve full opacity.

Next up I have Mercurial, which is an awesome gunmetal shimmer.
The formula was great - not too thin and not too thick. And best of all; it only needs two thin coats or one thicker coat to be opaque.

Close up!

Time for this stunning dusty purple shade: Lilac Eclipse.
The formula on this one is perfect - just a little on the thicker side, which makes it easier to apply and control. It does need two coats to be completely opaque though, but the dry-time is great as well.

Next up is Viridian Veil, which is a frosty, metallic teal.
The formula is great and it is opaque in two easy coats.

Close up!

Lastly I have Hypnotic Dreams - a really unique metallic multichrome shimmer that goes from green to gold to pink.
The formula is on the thinner side, and it needs three layers to reach full opacity.

Close up!

Concluding remarks:
The shades in this collection are really unique and perfect for fall. Most of the formulas are on the thinner side, but all manageable with a little patience.

What do you guys think about this collection?
Let me know in the comments!

Ps. I might have a give-away of a set of this entire collection planned for you guys - so stay tuned!

Gradient

Hey guys!

Today I have some awesome gradient nail art to share with you.
This manicure is inspired by Annika of @simplepolishblog who recently won a trip to Australia with piCture pOlish - it is so great for her!

For the manicure I created a different crooked gradient on each nail with the five piCture pOlish shades: Freya's Cats, Dragonfly, Escapades, Kryptonite, and Glitch.

Unfortunately some of these shades are to close in color, but I like how this look turned out anyway!
What do you guys think about this gradient? Let me know in the comments.

Drip Marble

Hey guys!

Today I tried a new technique inspired by Simply Nailogical - the drip marble technique.

For the manicure I followed this tutorial by Simply Nailogical using piCture pOlish Escapades, piCture pOlish Glitch, and piCture pOlish Pharaoh.

Close up!

Even though I think these turned out pretty cool, I am not a big fan of this technique - I actually think water marble is easier and looks better (I know *gasp*, right?).

Macarons

Hey guys!

Today I have some nail art inspired by these macarons by @lakridskongen!

For the manicure I started off with a dusty Tiffany blue base of China Glaze For Audrey on all my nails. Afterwards I used a watered-down black acrylic paint and a brush to create the black spots by flicking the brush towards my nails. I finished everything off by adding some random dry brush strokes across my nails using the metallic bronze China Glaze Meet Me at the Mirage.

Matte!

Close-up!

Even though the base colour isn't perfect, I like how this mani turned out!

piCture pOlish Story

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of the awesome piCture pOlish Story to share with you!
Story is a dark teal blue magnetic holo.

The formula is great and it is easy to apply. It is nearly opaque in one coat, which is amazing, but I used two coats to enhance the magnetic effect. The magnetic effect is fantastic and I love how it looks on the nails!

Close up!

I am in love with this magnetic holo!

Floral

Hey guys!

Today I have a floral skittlette to share with you. I even made another video tutorial - check it out here!

For the manicure I applied a dark teal base of Essie Garden Variety to my thumb and pointer, a white base of CND Cream Puff to my middle and ring finger, and a pink base of Essie Lovie Dovie to my pinky. The floral water decals and small silver studs are from Born Pretty Store.

Close up!

I just ordered a big bunch of water decals - they are so easy to use!

Gradient

Hey guys!

Today I have a teal gradient to share with you!

For the manicure I started off with a minty teal base of Essie Blossom Dandy on all my nails. Afterwards I used a make-up sponge and the following polishes to make the gradient:  Essie Blossom Dandy, Essie In the Cab-Ana, and Essie Garden Variety.

I need more gradients in my life!

Appeal4 We Need All Holographic Everything

Hey guys!

Today I have swatches and a review of the beautiful, new Appeal4 collection We Need All Holographic Everything - a collection consisting only of (you guessed it) holos!

First up is H1 Cosmic Crush - a gunmetal grey scattered holo.
The formula on this one is perfect - not too thin and not too thick. It is opaque in two thin and easy coats.
This one is definitely my favourite shade from the collection - b-e-a-uuuu-tiful!

Next up the H2 Eternal Vibe - an olive green scattered holo.
The formula on this one is great as well - a little on the thinner side though, but it does not run down the sides of my nails or anything. It needed three coats to be completely opaque.
This shade is so unique for a holo - I have never seen anything like it!

Next polish is H3 Amp Up Your Holo - a teal blue scattered holo.
The formula on this one is good and it is easy to apply. The opacity is great as well and it is opaque in two coats.

H4 Addicted To - a silver scattered holo with strong blue undertones.
The formula on this one is like H2 Eternal Vibe - a little on the thin side. It was opaque in three thin coats.
This shade is really unique in a holo as well - I love it!

Next we have H5 Karma Cameleon - a lilac scattered holo with a gold shimmer.
The formula on this one is like H2 and H4 - a little on the thin side (but I do tend to prefer thicker formulas in polishes). It needed three coats to be completely opaque.
This polish is the most unique in the bunch - I have never seen a scattered holo with a shimmer in it as well!

H6 Out-of-this-world is a stunning purple scattered holo.
The formula is great on this one! And it only needs two easy layers to achieve complete opacity.

Last up is H7 Cosmic Runway - a pink scattered holo.
The formula on this one is good and it is opaque in three coats. This polish did have a few unmixed pieces in it, but not too many.

All in all I love this collection! So many unique shades!

It's My Birthday!

Hey guys!

Today is my birthday, so I made this festive skittlette!

For the manicure I started off with a white base of CND Cream Puff. Afterwards I used the OPI Sheer Tints to make the colorful base. Then I stamped the gifts and party hats on my middle and ring finger with Mundo de Uñas Black stamping polish and MoYou London Birthday 02. To finish off the skittlette I applied the holographic glitter China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

I love how festive and fun this turned out!

Nail the Mail Box

Hey guys!

Today I have the Nail the Mail box for December to share with you!

Nail the Mail is a Danish nail polish shop that ships to most of Europe. They made this nail polish subscription box that you can read all about here.

The December box contains Foxy Paws Step Into Christmas, OPI Shine for Me, Lacquester Taling, and the little something extra this month is a four-sided nail buffer.

First up is Lacquester Taling - a pretty teal with gold shimmer and blue and gold glitters.
The formula is great. It is easy to apply and the brush is amazingly easy to work with! The opacity is good too and it is opaque in two coats - unfortunately it looks sheer on the pictures even though it is completely opaque in real life.

Here it is matte inspired by the amazing swatches by Greedy Little Baby!

And close-up!
I did not think much of this polish in the bottle, but it is beautiful on the nails!

Next up is Foxy Paws Step Into Christmas, which is a pretty dark purple jelly with a holographic shimmer and iridescent shards.
The formula and opacity on this one is fantastic - two easy coats and top coat.

Matte!

Close-up!
I am loving this shade - just amazingly beautiful!

Last swatch is of OPI Shine for Me - silver and blue glitters in a clear base.
The formula is great and the glitter pay-off is good. It is almost opaque in three coats (as above), but I would recommend it as a glitter topper over another polish.

The little something extra is this four-sided nail buffer - a must-have in every nail polish addict's nail care collection!

Another amazing box!
What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!

Ps. this box is sponsored by Nail the Mail, but everything I write about it is my honest opinion.

Nail the Mail Box

Hey guys!

Today I have the Nail the Mail box for November to share with you guys!

Nail the Mail is a Danish nail polish shop that ships to most of Europe. They made this nail polish subscription box that you can read all about here.

The November box contains piCture pOlish Scarlett, Appeal4 Midnight Green, a glitter polish from Sorbet Seams, and the little something extra is nail foil.

First up is piCture pOlish Scarlett - a beautiful dark pink with a bijou holo finish.
The formula is nothing less than amazing and it applies like a dream. The opacity is great as well and it is technically opaque in one coat, but the second coat really deepens the color.

Here is a macro-shot of Scarlett. You can really see the beautiful bijou finish in this picture.

Next up is Appeal4 Midnight Green, which is a dark teal jelly.
The formula is good on this one - it is easy to apply and not too thick nor too thin. The opacity is not that good, but I expected nothing less, as it is a jelly polish - their opacity is supposed to be this way. I used three thin coats for the picture above.
A few days ago I made a jelly sandwich with this lovely polish. Check it out here.

The last polish of the box is this awesome glitter polish from Sorbet Seams. The polish contains glitter in almost all shapes and sizes ranging from metallics to black - all in a clear base.
The glitter pay-off on this one is great with minimum digging needed - on the picture above I used one coat. Even though there is a lot of glitter in this polish, it is really easy to apply.

The little something extra this month are these pretty nail foils (look at that holo!).

I am ecstatic about this month's box and all the products are amazing! You've done it again Nina!
What do you guys think about it? Let me know in the comments!

Jelly Sandwich

Hey guys!

Today I have a jelly sandwich inspired by the sweet Nail Newbee to show you guys!

For the manicure I started off with two coats of the dark teal jelly polish Appeal4 Midnight Green on all my nails. Afterwards I alternated between the silver glitter Essie Set in Stones and Appeal4 Midnight Green to make the jelly sandwich effect.

These kinds of manicures take forever to make, but they are definitely worth it!

Triangles

Hello ladies!

Today I have some simple nail art inspired by Milena of Nail That Design to show you guys!

For the manicure I started off with a bronze base of Essie Penny Talk on my pinky, middle finger, and ring finger and a dark teal scattered holo of piCture pOlish Escapades on my pointer and thumb. Afterwards I used striping tape and piCture pOlish Escapades to make the triangle nail art on my middle and ring finger.

I am addicted to Escapades - it is so beautiful!

Christian Louboutin Batignolles

Hello ladies!

Today I have a swatch and review of one of my new Christian Louboutin shades - Batignolles.
Batignolles is a dusty teal creme.

The formula was fantastic - so creamy and smooth! It was opaque in two thin and easy coats although one thicker layer might have been enough.

Everything about these Louboutin shades are perfect and they are worth every penny!
