Studs

Hey guys!

Today I have some simple nail art featuring lots and lots of studs to share with you!

For the manicure I started off with a base of piCture pOlish Bonkers on all my nails (the formula on this polish is perfect). On my ring finger I only painted part of the nail with piCture pOlish Bonkers. Afterwards I added studs in different colors and sizes to my ring finger.

I love this simple nail art and how it matches with the piCture pOlish lipstick!

Then and Now

Hey guys!

Today I have some more Then and Now nail art to share with you!
I recreated this mix and match leopard and striped manicure from April of 2014.

For the leopard nails I started off with a taupe nude base of piCture pOlish Nougat on my middle finger, ring finger, and thumb. Afterwards I followed my own tutorial using the brown OPI Going My Way or Nor-Way?, the black Essie Licorice, and a dotting tool to create the leopard print.
For the striped nails I started off with a white base of Essence Wild White Ways on my pointer and pinky. Afterwards I used some thick striping tape and Essie Licorice to create the stripes.

And here is a comparison of Then and Now!

I am so happy with my development these last three years! I think the 'Now' manicure is much better than the 'Then' manicure.

piCture pOlish O'Hara

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of piCture pOlish O'Hara to share with you!
O'Hara is a red crelly with a scattered holo.

The formula is amazing - it is a little on the thick side, but incredibly easy to control and apply to the nails. The opacity is great as well and it only needs two coats to be completely opaque. And even though this polish is packed with holo, it is as easy to remove as any creme polish is.

This polish is one of my favorites in my entire collection, so it is about damn time that I did a proper review of it! It is so stunning!

Gradient

Hey guys!

Today I have some awesome gradient nail art to share with you.
This manicure is inspired by Annika of @simplepolishblog who recently won a trip to Australia with piCture pOlish - it is so great for her!

For the manicure I created a different crooked gradient on each nail with the five piCture pOlish shades: Freya's Cats, Dragonfly, Escapades, Kryptonite, and Glitch.

Unfortunately some of these shades are to close in color, but I like how this look turned out anyway!
What do you guys think about this gradient? Let me know in the comments.

Stamping

Hey guys!

Today I have a fun negative space and stamping nail art inspired by @ludochka_t to share with you!

For the manicure I started off with a mint blue base of piCture pOlish Chillax on my pointer and thumb and a yellow base of piCture pOlish Sorbet on my pinky. On my middle and ring finger I used the same two polishes and some straight nail vinyls to create the negative space effect. Lastly I stamped the floral design on my middle and ring finger using MoYou London Pro 07 stamping plate and the black polish Essie Licorice.

I cannot decide if I think this is a nail fail or not!

Barbecue

Hey guys!

Yesterday my fiancé was having some friends over for a barbecue, which inspired me to make some barbecue nail art!

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of piCture pOlish Freya's Cats on all my nails, excepts for my pinky which I painted silver with Essie No Place Like Chrome. Afterwards I stamped with MoYou London Cook Book 06 stamping plate and Essie No Place Like Chrome on my middle and ring finger.

I think this manicure is so much fun!

Hibiscus

Hey guys!

Today I have some simple freehanded nail art to share with you!

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of piCture pOlish Blue on all my nails, except for my middle and ring finger which I painted white with Essence Wild White Ways. Afterwards I freehanded the hibiscus flowers on my middle and ring finger with OPI Pen & Pink, black acrylic paint, and a small nail art brush.

Close up!

I originally painted this design on my toes, but fell so much in love with it that I had to recreate it on my hands as well!

Wavy

Hey guys!

True to tradition I always wear green to my exams and in exam periods and as it is almost time to hand in my bachelor project, I do so these days as well. This time in a simple wavy negative space style featuring piCture pOlish Glitch.

For the manicure I used a small nail art brush and piCture pOlish Glitch to create the simple negative space effect by painting the waves directly onto my naked nails.

I love me some simple negative space nail art!

piCture pOlish Summer

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of piCture pOlish Summer.
Summer is a medium coral polish with holographic glitter and holographic flakes.

The formula on this polish is amazingly smooth - it stays exactly where you put it and it is not too thick and not too thin. The glitters might need a tiny bit of manipulation with the brush to get them evenly distributed, but it is not a big problem at all. The opacity is great as well and it only needs two coats to be completely opaque. Another incredible thing about this polish is that it dries in no time.
The only bad thing I have to say about this polish is that it dries down a little gritty, but it is nothing a good top coat can't fix.

Close up!

I was positively surprised by this polish - the color and the formula is perfect!

piCture pOlish Blue

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of piCture pOlish Blue.
Blue is a bright cobalt blue creme (it is actually a dupe to Chanel Vibrato - let me know if you want a comparison).

The formula is amazing on this polish! It stays exactly where you put it, which makes it incredibly easy to work with. The opacity is good and it needs two coats to be completely opaque.

I always gravitate towards this shade of blue - seriously so beautiful!

Painting

Hey guys!

Today I have some fun nail art inspired by the amazingly talented Narmai to share with you.

For the manicure I started off with a cyan blue base of piCture pOlish Salt Water on my thumb, pointer and middle finger. Afterwards I freehanded the paint roller on my ring finger with a small nail art brush, black and white acrylic paint, the silver polish Essie No Place Like Chrome and piCture pOlish Salt Water.

Close up!

And here's a picture of the paint roller without the 'paint' (lol)!

I think this nail art turned out so cute and fun!

Swirls

Hey guys!

Today I have some dry marble nail art to share with you!

For the manicure I started off by using the dry marble technique to make some swirls on my Uber nail art mat with piCture pOlish Saphira and piCture pOlish Posey. I added some quick-drying top coat on top off the swirls and transferred them onto my ring and middle finger. Lastly I painted my pinky with the pink piCture pOlish Posey and my pointer and thumb with the dark blue piCture pOlish Saphira.

Close up!

I love these two polishes together!

piCture pOlish Chance

Hey guys!

Today I have a swatch and review of the stunning piCture pOlish Chance to share with you!
Chance is a deep purple magnetic holo.

The formula is great - it is a little on the thin side, but it is easy to work with anyhow. The opacity is good and it needs two coats to reach full opacity. The magnetic effect is amazing and so beautiful!

This polish is seriously so beautiful.

Minimalistic

Hey guys!

I have been really busy these last couple of days with a new semester starting, but today I am back with some minimalistic nail art!

For the manicure I started off with a base of piCture pOlish Freya's Cats on all my nails. Afterwards I used a small nail art brush dipped in acetone to remove some of the polish again and create the ombré negative space design.

Close up!

It is so nice to finally have time for nail polish again!

Gradient

Hey guys!

It has been a while since I last made a gradient, so today I made one using some of my absolute favorite piCture pOlish shades (who am I kidding - all my piCture pOlish shades are some of my favorite)!

I used piCture pOlish Spring, piCture pOlish Allure, and a make-up sponge to make the gradient.

Drip Marble

Hey guys!

Today I tried a new technique inspired by Simply Nailogical - the drip marble technique.

For the manicure I followed this tutorial by Simply Nailogical using piCture pOlish Escapades, piCture pOlish Glitch, and piCture pOlish Pharaoh.

Close up!

Even though I think these turned out pretty cool, I am not a big fan of this technique - I actually think water marble is easier and looks better (I know *gasp*, right?).
