FormulaXpress

Hi girls!

A few days ago I participated in a Sephora Scandinavia competition on Instagram featuring Formula X for a chance to win a trip to one of five European cities!
I chose London so I made this manicure to match the Union Jack flag (the white must be my pale fingers LOL).

For my entry I made a glitter gradient using the red Pyrotechnic in my Formula X The System To Go and the matte, blue glitter TNT.

I really, really, really hope I win, so wish me good luck guys!

Thermal

Hi girls!

Today I have a swatch and review of the thermal nail polish Born Pretty #18931 in the color 103 to share with you guys!
103 is blue when it is in its warm state and purple when it is cold.

The formula was really good - not to thick and not to thin, and really easy to apply. It was nearly a one-coater, but I used two thin coats for the picture below. The thermal effect was amazing as well and it shifts perfectly between the two colors! On the picture it makes a gradient effect as it is warm near the cuticles but cold at the end of the nails.

This nail polish is from Born Pretty Store and it costs $3.99 for 6 ml.
If you guys plan on buying something in Born Pretty Store, remember to use my coupon code SXKQ10 for 10% off your entire order and free international shipping! Check out their nail art items here.

I really like the thermal effect in this nail polish and I am definitely going to buys some more!

Pastel Galaxy

Hello ladies!

Today the sweet Milena of Nail That Design and I made another pair of twin nails together - this time we made a pastel galaxy manicure.
You can check out Milenas blogpost here!

For the manicure I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on all my nails. Afterwards I used a make-up sponge dabbed with random blobs of nail polish (piCture pOlish Chillax, piCture pOlish Instinct, and piCture pOlish Mad Magenta) followed by a white layer to tone them down and make them more pastel, to make the gradient effect. Then I applied the holographic glitter China Glaze Fairy Dust to all my nails. To finish everything off I used a small dotting tool, a small nail art brush and the white nail polish to add small planets and stars.

Fancy Friday: Paradise

Hello ladies!

Today I have a Fancy Friday manicure to share with you guys!
The challenge this week is paradise and I made this sunset skittlette inspired by Nailstorming, as I image paradise as me lying on a beach while the sun is going down with the people I love around me.

For the manicure I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on all my nails followed by a sunset-inspired gradient of L'Oréal Exotic Canaries, Essie Van D'Go and Essie Peach Side Babe. Afterwards I freehanded the palm trees on my middle and ring finger with a small nail art brush and black acrylic paint. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

I really love how this manicure turned out!

Fancy Friday: Water Spotted

Hello ladies!

Today it is time for another Fancy Friday manicure.
The challenge this week is water spotted (a technique invented by cutepolish) and I made this simple beach skittlette.

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of By K. Blue Fog on my thumb and pointer, a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on my middle and ring finger, and a beige base off By K. Jet Steam on my pinky. Afterwards I made a beach-inspired gradient with the three polishes mentioned above on my middle and ring finger. Lastly I used the white OPI Alpine Snow, room-tempature water and hairspray to add the water spot design to my middle finger, ring finger, and pinky.

The water spotted technique is really hard to do, but I like how this turned out anyway.

Tutor

Hello ladies!

A while ago I made this manicure when I applied to be a tutor at psychology at Aarhus University. Unfortunately I did not get the job, but I still want to show you guys the nail art I made!

The manicure is inspired by my experience of the first week of university (where you party with your new classmates and your tutors).
The clown on my thumb symbolizes all the fun we had, the kisses on my pointer is inspired by all the love I got and gave my tutors and new classmates, the flower on my middle finger is inspired by one of my professors who always say that psychology students are the flowers of Denmark's future, the book on my ring finger is a symbol of the (very limited) academic content of the week, and the beer on my pinky is self-explanatory.

You guys are welcome to ask how I made the nail art or which polishes I used!
