Essie Lapiz of Luxury vs Essie Lapiz of Luxury

Hey guys!

A while ago I fell in love with this beautiful cornflower blue polish called Lapiz of Luxury by Essie. I ordered it home from eBay (from an American seller) and it looked nothing like the swatches online - instead it was a dusty lavender polish. I then recently found the polish in Denmark with another color, but the same name? There seems to be more than one version of this polish, with different colors and formula, but the same name.

Essie Lapiz of Luxury vs Essie Lapiz of Luxury.

The two polishes look nothing alike (albeit they are both beautiful).

It has been seen before that Essie have reformulated some of their polishes or that there is a difference in the American and European polishes with the same names. In this case I think it is a reformulation, which is a shame.

Skittlette

Hey guys!

Today I made a skittlette inspired by the very first skittlette I ever made!

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on my pointer and thumb, a black base of Essie Licorice on my middle and ring finger, and a textured silver base of OPI It's Frosty Outside on my pinky. Afterwards I added the polka dots to my middle and ring finger using white acrylic paint and a small dotting tool. To finish everything off I placed small, silver studs on top of a few of the polka dots on my ring and middle finger.

Essie Treat Love & Color

Hey guys!

Today I have a review of two of the four new Treat Love & Color shades by Essie.
The Treat Love & Color series are nail strengtheners with a little color and a subtle shimmer.

First off I have Laven-dearly to share with you!
Laven-dearly is a sheer lavender shade with a subtle purple and magenta shimmer.

Next is Treat Me Bright, which is a sheer milky white with a subtle aqua blue and purple shimmer.

Close up!

And now for the review!
Essie recommends using two coats of these on clean and dry nails, but I only used one layer for the swatches above, as I think it is prettier that way.
These Treat Love & Color polishes gives the nails a beautiful barely-there look with a subtle shimmer, which is also totally work appropriate. I love how you can strengthen your nails while they get a beautiful polished look at the same time.
The dry time is amazing as well which is perfect, as you can apply a quick coat of this and be out the door in no time.

Hey guys!

Today I have some more Christmas nail art to share with you - Christmas presents!
This is inspired by my own design from last year!

On the pointer I used the blue Deborah Lippmann Blue Orchid stamped with the silver Essie No Place Like Chrome, on my middle finger I used the red Essie Head Mistress stamped with the gold Essie Good as Gold, on my ring finger I used the green Deborah Lippmann She Drives Me Crazy stamped with the white Essence Wild White Ways, and on my pinky finger I used the white Essence Wild White Ways stamped with the red By K. Oy-Mak. To finish the present I used striping tape in different colors.
