Animal Themed Manicure #5

Hello ladies!

Today I made some more animal themed nail art for you guys.
This time it is Cow Nails!

I started off with a white base with two layers of OPI Alpine Snow on all my nails. Then I used a big dotting tool and a black nail polish to paint on some big spots on all my nails, except for the cow head accent nail. For that nail I used the pink polish Etude House PK001 to make a half circle at the tip of the nail, a small dotting tool and the black nail polish to make the eyes and nostrils, and the big dotting tool and black nail polish to make some spots on the cow head as well. Of course I finished off the design with a layer of shiny top coat.

There you have it - Cow Nails! So cute!

Do you like this manicure, girls?

Animal Themed Manicure #4

Hi girls!

Tonight I made some more animal themed nail art for you guys.
This time it is Ladybug Nails!

I started off with a red base of two layers of Essie Lollipop, except for my two accent nails, which I painted mint green with two layers of Essie Mint Candy Apple.
For the red ladybug nails I used my Black Barry M Nail Art Pen, various sized dotting tools, a black nail polish and a white nail polish for the details on the ladybugs.
For the mint green accent nails I used a big dotting tool, the red Essie Lollipop and my Black Barry M Nail Art Pen to paint on small ladybugs around the nail.

I really love how this turned out - So cute and pretty!

What do you think, ladies?

Essie Nothing Else Metals

Hey guys!

Yesterday I tried on Essie Nothing Else Metals - yet another nail polish from the Essie Mirror Metallics Collection.
Nothing Else Metals is a silvery violet nail polish.

For the base I used Essie Fill the Gap! to smooth out the surface of the nail and in that way hide the imperfections that the metallic polish would show.

I really think this nail polish is pretty! Perfect for a fierce, but simple valentines manicure!

Do you girls like this metallic colour as well?

Essie Pearly White

Hello ladies!

I have been soo busy this week, so I am really glad I chose to wear the Essie Pearly White nail polish this monday, because it lasted for four days with no chipping!
Other than its insane wear time the polish is really pretty, classy and matches almost everything.

For the pictures below I used tree to four coats of Essie Pearly and one layer of top coat. The polish is pretty thin and streaky, so you have to be patient when applying it and wait a few minutes in between layers.

So to sum up: The polish is really pretty and classy and lasts in AGES, but application can be quite tricky.

This polish is perfect for a classic Dita von Tesse half moon manicure, so I have got to remember doing that manicure sometime.

Snowflake Manicure

Hello ladies!

Today I made some nail art for you guys.
It is a blue gradient manicure with white snowflakes!

My base is a (very subtle) blue gradient of Essie Avenue Maintain and OPI Dating a Royal. I used my white Barry M Nail Art Pen to draw on the snowflakes and I used Essie Set in Stones for a little extra in the middle of every snowflake.

I am so proud of myself and I really love this manicure! Just perfect for winter!

Do you guys like it as much as I do?

Essie No Place like Chrome

Hello girls!

Today I am wearing another nail polish from Essie's Mirror Metallics Collection - Essie No Place like Chrome.
No Place like Chrome is a metallic silver nail polish.

Again today I used a base of Essie Fill the Gap! to smooth out the surface of the nail, so the metallic nail polish won't show every little imperfection.

This nail polish is ridiculously opaque and covers the nails completely by the first layer. The second layer I just apply to smooth out the streaks. Dry time is also insanely quick!

I took some pictures in different lightnings for you.

Inside in soft lightning
Inside in strong lightning

I am thinking of making a ruffian manicure with this nail polish as a base and a dark blue nail polish on top of it! What do you think of that idea?

Essie Good as Gold

Hey girls!

Yesterday I got no less than nine new Essie polishes - yaay!
Of course I could not wait to try them on, so I did a manicure with Essie Good as Gold as soon as I had the time.
Essie Good as Gold is a metallic chrome like gold nail polish.

I used a base of Essie Fill the Gap!, which is a ridge filling base coat, to smooth out the nail and prep it for polishes like metallics or holographics, that show every little imperfection on the nails.

Application was good. Good as Gold is a smooth and very opaque polish, so it is fairly easy to apply. It is a good idea to wait a few minutes between the layers as it can drag the first layer if it is not dry yet.

I also bought the other nail polishes in the Essie Mirror Metallics collection. Would you guys like me to swatch them as well?

New Year Manicure #3

Hello ladies!

Today I made the last New Years Eve manicure this year, so I am ready for tonight.
I call it a Glitter Bomb Manicure!

I started off with two layers of a silver shimmer polish as a base. Then I created a gradient effect with Essie Set in Stones, which is a chunky silver glitter.
This is a really simple and easy way to make the craziest glitter bomb for New Year's Eve, without using any nail art tools at all!

I love it and I hope you do too!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New Year Manicure #2

Hello ladies!

Tonight I made some more New Years Eve nail art for you.
It is another Fire Works manicure! This time it is a bit more realistic looking.

I started off by painting all my nails black with two coats of Maybelline Onyx Black to represent the night sky. Then I dabbed on some silver nail polish and on top of that some silver glitter nail polish different places on the nails to represent the fire works. Afterwards I used my white Barry M nail art pen (they are amazing! Would you like a review of them?) to dot on some tiny dots in the shapes of a fire works.

New Year Manicure #1

Hey girls!

Today I made some New Years Eve nail art for you.
It is a Cartoon Fire Work manicure!
The manicure does not look like I intended it to look like, but I like how it ended up looking.

I started off with a black base. Then I used my brand new Barry M nail art pens, that I got for christmas. I used the white one (I got three - black, white and pink) to draw fireworks on my nails. Then I layered various colours over the white base to make the manicure pop! Finally I added a top coat to seal in the design and add some beautiful shine.

Black Shatter

Hey guys!

Today I layered OPI Black Shatter over the white and gold saran wrap manicure from yesterday.
I really like the many layers and what they do to each other, especially the peak of golds behind the black shatter.

I got some really good pictures. The weather is just perfect for photographing today!

Gold Saran Wrap Comparison

Hey guys!

Today I made a manicure using the saran wrap technique.
The reason for me to make this manicure is because I am really lemming the Gold Leaf top coat by Dance Legend I ordered yesterday and I cannot wait for it to arrive!
Here you can see the nail polish top coat layered over Nicole by OPI Tink's in the Pink.

This is my first attempt to make a saran wrap manicure and also my first attempt to tame one of my many lemmings for polishes.

I started off by painting all my nails white with two thick coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Then I rolled a piece of cling film into a ball and randomly painted some gold nail polish on top of the ball, like so:

Then I quickly dabbed the side of the cling film ball with nail polish on onto my nails until I was happy with the amount of nail polish on the nail. I finished off with a layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat.

I know it is not quite the same as the Gold Leaf top coat, but I really dig this manicure! It is kind of awesome with a marble-like effect.
What do you guys think? Do you like it?

Christmas Manicure #12

Hey girls!

Tonight it is christmas eve and I made the last christmas nail art for you this year. However sad that is, it turned out really cute and pretty.
It is a Santa Claus Manicure!

I painted all my nails red with one or two layers of Essie Lollipop, except for one of my two accent nails, which I painted a light skin colour with Essie Adore-A-Ball.
For Santa's head I dabbed on some red nail polish on one third of the nail. Once that was dry I dotted on Santa's beard, sideburns and the white part of his hat (whatever that is called) with various sized dotting tools and some white nail polish. Lastly I added his two black eyes and pink nose with a small dotting tool and his crooked smile with a small nail striper and some black nail polish.
For Santa's suit I dotted on the white, fluffy part of it with a big dotting tool and some white nail polish. Then I painted on his belt with some black nail polish and a nail striper. Finally I dotted on his belt buckle with a small dotting tool and some gold nail polish.

It is really adorable, right?
Merry christmas everybody!

Christmas Manicure #11

Hey guys!

Tomorrow is christmas (at least in Denmark), so I made yet another christmas manicure for you.
Today it is an Icicle Manicure!
For the base I painted all my nails royal blue with 2 coats of Essie Mesmerize. Then I used a small nail striper and white nail polish for the icicles. Lastly I painted details on the icicles with some silver nail polish and the same small nail striper as before.

Merry christmas girls!

Christmas Manicure #10

Hey girls!

Today I have the cutest christmas nail art for you guys.
It is a Santa Hat French Manicure!
This manicure was inspired by the amazing nail artist keshialilly.

I started off by painting the very tip of my nails with two thin coats of Essie Lollipop. Afterwards I dotted on some white polka dots along the red tip for some details. Then I painted on the top part of the hat with a striper and some red nail polish and once that was dry I outlines it with a striper and some black nail polish. Lastly I used the same dotting tool as before and added the very last detail - a dot at the end of the hat.

It may seem and look very hard to do, but it is so simple and easy!
I really love this look. It is so cute and perfect for christmas.

Christmas Manicure #9

Hey you guys!

Another day - another christmas manicure.
Today it is christmas presents accent nails!
I started off by painting all my nails red with two layers of Essie Lollipop, except for my ring finger, which I painted green with two layers of Essie Pretty Edgy. Those two colours matched together are perfect for any christmas manicure!
For the two christmas present accent nails I used some gold striping tape and a lot of patience!
You can check out ErinZi's tutorial on how to do them here.

I really love this manicure - so cute and simple!

Christmas Manicure #8

Hey girls!

Today I have some more christmas nail art for you.
This time it is another christmas tree manicure!
For the base I painted all my nails green with two coats of Essie Pretty Edgy and one coat of Essie Set in Stones for some sparkles. Then I used a little dotting tools to paint on the gold tinsel with Pieces 24 Carat and a big dotting tool to paint on the christmas ornaments with a white base and red nail polish on top of it.

I think it is kinda awesome!

Christmas Manicure #7

Hey girls!

Sooo I got another christmas manicure for you guys.
Today it is two dotted christmas tree accent nails!
I started off by painting all my nails with two layers of Pieces 24 Carat, except for my two accent nails, which I painted white with OPI Alpine Snow. Then I simply dotted on the two christmas trees. For that purpose I used various sized dotting tools, two green nail polished for the tree, a gold nail polish for the star and a red nail polish for the christmas ornaments! So easy and pretty!

This christmas manicure is definitely my favorite one after the Santa and Elfs Suits one!

Christmas Manicure #6

Hey guys!

Today I have another christmas manicure for you.
This time it is a Gingerbread Man(icure) - Get it?
For the base I painted all my nails red with two coats of Essie Lollipop, except for the two accent nails, which I painted brown with La Femme Beauty Brown. Then I used a striper, a medium dotting tool and some white nail polish for the frosting. Lastly I dotted four smarties in two different colours on top of the white frosting, two red of Essie Lollipop and two green of Essie Pretty Edgy.

I am not sure if I like it, given that the frosting stripes are so thick and the two accent nails does not look alike - But then again, there is not two Gingerbread Men who look exactly alike, is there? Maybe it is part of the charm.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Manicure #5

Hey girls!

Today I made some more christmas nail art for you.
This time it is a Holiday Lights manicure!
For the base I painted all my nails with 2-3 layers of OPI Alpine Snow. Afterwards I used a small striper to paint the electrical cord with a black nail polish and lastly I dotted on the lights with a tiny dotting tool and various nail polish colours:
Red: Essie Lollipop
Blue: Essie Avenue Maintain
Yellow: Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi
Green: China Glaze Def Defying

This manicure is pretty time consuming, but really simple and pretty.
