April Nail Art Challenge: Family

Hey guys!

Time for another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
Today the challenge is to be inspired by family. I told my little brother to pick out some polishes and he chose a blue, a green, a white, and a black. I made this dotticure inspired by Rijah with the polishes my little brother chose.

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of Essie Butler Please on all my nails except for my ring finger, which I painted white with OPI Alpine Snow. Afterwards I used a medium sized dotting tool and the two polishes I have already mentioned, the green By K. First Class, and the black Essie Licorice to make the dotticure.

I really like how the ring finger turned out, but I don't know if I like the color combination on the other nails.
What do you guys think about this family nail art? Let me know in the comments!

April Nail Art Challenge: Love

Hello ladies!

Today I have another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
The challenge today is to be inspired by love and I made this skittlette featuring hearts.

For the manicure I started off with a light pink base of OPI Mod About You on all my nails except for my pinky which I painted red with Sally Hansen Pucker Up. Afterwards I used the pink Essie Lovie Dovie and the red Sally Hansen Pucker Up to make the hearts on my middle and ring finger with brushes from the polish. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

This manicure was really easy to make, you do not need any tools to make it, and the result is so sweet!

April Nail Art Challenge: Fan Brush

Hi girls!

Today in the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday the challenge is fan brush and I made this simple skittlette.

For the manicure I started off with a mint green base of Essie Blossom Dandy on all my nails. Afterwards I used a fan brush and Essie Garden Variety to make the dry brush effect on my middle and ring finger. To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

I know this is not a "classical" fan brush manicure, but I made another manicure and it was a major nail fail, so I made this one instead!

April Nail Art Challenge: Gradient

Hey guys!

Today it is time for another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday!
The challenge today is gradient and I made a pink reverse gradient.

For the manicure I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow. Afterwards I made the first gradient using a make-up sponge and the following polishes (from lightest to darkest): Essie Fiji, Essie Lovie Dovie, and Essie Watermelon. When that was completely dry I applied nail art tape to my nails and made another gradient on top of that (the opposite way than the one before).

I do not know if I think this is a nail fail or not.

Afterwards I followed this tutorial by Sammy of The Nailasaurus using the following polishes: OPI I Just Can't Cope-Acabana (yellow), Essie Blossom Dandy (mint), and Essie Mojito Madness (green). To finish off the skittlette I applied China Glaze Fairy Dust to my pinky.

April Nail Art Challenge: Orange

Today I have another April Nail Art Challenge with Fancy Friday to show you guys!

For the manicure I started off with a blue base of piCture pOlish Swagger on all my nails. Then I freehanded on the half-moon oranges on my middle and ring finger using white acrylic paint and the two orange polishes Etude House OR202 and L'Oréal Lush Tangerine. April Nail Art Challenge: Red

Hello ladies!

Today I have another manicure for the April Nail Art Challenge to show you guys!
The challenge is red and I swatched and reviewed Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin.

I had originally decided that I was going to make nail art for every challenge this month, but for this polish I am willing to make an exception.

Rouge Louboutin is a red creme.
The formula is amazing and it applies like butter! The opacity is amazing as well and it is opaque in just one thick or two thin coats.

I got this polish from my boyfriend for christmas and I love it so much!

Afterwards I used a medium-sized dotting tool and the blue scattered holographic piCture pOlish Freya's Cats to make random dots and blobs around the nail. Then I used a small dotting tool and the dark blue Essie After School Boy Blazer to outline the dots with different C-shapes.

Fancy Friday: Easter

Hello ladies!

Today it is time for another Fancy Friday challenge, where the theme this week is easter.
I made a manicure inspired by the colors of easter (yellow and green) and the decorations on easer eggs (tribal print).

For the manicure I started off with a white base of OPI Alpine Snow on all my nails. Afterwards I made a gradient with a make-up sponge, the yellow polish Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi, and the green Essie First Timer. Then I freehanded on the tribal print with white acrylic paint and a small nail art brush. Unfortunately the yellow polish "swallowed" the white acrylic paint after I applied the top coat, so it looks faded over the yellow polish.

I like how this turned out, even though the white acrylic paint is a little faded.

I used the following polishes (from lightest to darkest): Essie Borrowed and Blue, Deborah Lippmann Blue Orchid, Essie Avenue Maintain, Essie Mezmerise, and Essie Style Cartel.
